In October 2022, Kopi Tujuhenam, in collaboration with its partner Java Frinsa Estate, was selected as a coffee producer from Indonesia to attend a roastery visit hosted by Typica, a Japanese coffee distributor. The visit included several roasteries in Japan and aimed to introduce and discuss the coffee (green bean) products that we export to Japan.

The activities involved presentations and discussions on the traceability of our coffee beans, covering topics such as the selection of superior seeds, intensive garden care, and consistency in post-harvest processing to ensure high-quality coffee beans with unique aroma and flavor characteristics distinctive to West Java, Indonesia.

We traveled to various cities in Japan, including Osaka, Kyoto, and Nagoya, engaging directly with roasters and café owners. The visit concluded with attendance at the World Specialty Coffee Conference and Exhibition 2022 in Tokyo.

Apart from us from Indonesia, the event was attended by coffee producers from other coffee-producing countries, such as Colombia, India, Nicaragua, Guatemala, Tanzania, and Ethiopia.
